    These courses are particularly useful for individuals who work in healthcare, social work, education, and community services, as they may be more likely to encounter individuals who are experiencing mental health issues or thoughts of suicide.



  • Learning Objectives

    The learning objectives of the safeTALK and Mental Health First Aid training programs may vary depending on the specific course or training program, but generally, the goals are to:


    • Understand the concept of suicide prevention and how it relates to mental health.
    • Learn how to recognize and respond to individuals who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide.
    • Understand the importance of asking about suicide and how to do so in a safe and non-judgmental way.
    • Learn how to listen non-judgmentally and connect individuals with resources for help








  • Course Features
    • Both the Instructor-led and virtual training format reinforces skill proficiency along with providing strategies that can be applied to real world situations.
    • MHFA course has the option of completing the course as a blended course or in-person. 
    • Includes interactive exercises and videos. Certificate of completion available for MHFA and safeTALK.
    • Learners are provided student participant guides for both programs.

In our safeTALK training program, you will learn how to recognize and respond to individuals who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide. 


You will learn how to ask about suicide, listen non-judgmentally, and connect individuals with resources for help. 


Our experienced trainers will guide you through interactive activities and role-plays, so you can feel confident in your ability to have a safe TALK conversation.

Mental Health First Aid Training for A Positive Workplace and Community


 In our Mental Health First Aid training program, you will learn how to recognize and respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. 


You will learn how to provide support, connect individuals with resources for help, and take care of your own well-being while providing support to others. 


Our experienced trainers will guide you through interactive activities and role-plays, so you can feel confident in providing mental health first aid.


Upon completion of either of these courses, you will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for three years. The certificates are recognized by many employers and regulatory bodies as evidence of your knowledge and skills in suicide prevention and mental health first aid.
